Saint Jude Retreats is a non-12 step alternative to traditional rehab services. The Programs taught at Saint Jude’s are unlike any other drug and alcohol program available today, and helps people overcome drugs and alcohol through proven methods that educate the individual on strategies for self control, person responsibility and the power of free will and choice. The program is taught over the course of 6 weeks and incorporates the science of personal change- Neuroplasticity and Cognitive Behavioral Education (CBE) which focuses in on an individuals’ control over behaviors, actions, reactions and thought patterns when faced with difficult circumstances or life events. One-on-one or small class discussions will take place and will include no therapy or treatment practices. Through each phase of the program, team-building social activities will be presented to reinforce positive behaviors and to develop social skills such as commitment, dedication and perseverance. Some activities include; hiking, yoga, indoor rock climbing, skiing or obstacle courses.

Saint Jude Retreats has created the change in the treatment industry by not focusing on powerlessness, or teaching that addiction is an incurable disease. The program has 3 locations located in the beautiful serene areas of Upstate New York and one satellite/skype based location in lower Manhattan.
